I'm Melissa
isn't the sound of coffee brewing in my kitchen. And it's not the fact that I get to take beautiful photos as my job. It's helping you to feel empowered to freely express yourself in a world full of too much fluff and not enough realness. I love telling the stories of those brave enough to unapologetically show up in the world as they are rather than follow the status quo.
what gets me up in the morning...
Photography for me is not only a creative outlet, but a way to form meaningful relationships with other humans and the natural world. I believe that life is best spent exploring our beautiful planet with people we love and slowing down to enjoy the simple things in life. Allow me to help plan a wedding day that is full of beauty, authenticity, and an abundance of moments to savor.

- From Chicago, Illinois but currently living the dream in Colorful Colorado.
- On the weekends you can find me exploring mountain trails with my partner and two pups.
- I have a slightttt obsession with houseplants #plantmom.
- I have a master's degree in biology.
- My favorite mornings start with yoga, meditation, journaling, and a green smoothie....okay, and maybe some syrupy french toast as well!

We have one planet and I greatly value taking care of it. A huge part of my life has been focused on conservation efforts to ensure that future generations can continue to enjoy nature the same way that we do today. Currently I'm involved with raising environmental awareness, especially with little kiddos. It's super rewarding to see the impact made on the next generation of environmental stewards. We are all in this together and I'm so glad that you get to be part of that by booking with me. A portion of each session goes to a conservation organization of your choice!
